A wedding in Syros

A couple from different continents wanted to have a destination wedding in Greece and visited various islands before choosing Syros as their number one choice. What can I say about this couple and their families and friends. Simply adorable, all of them! Christie, the mother of the bride, described their vision and although I was not sure about their choices they all came out perfect.

The ceremony took place at the patio of Syros Town Hall, where a priest from South Africa performed one of the best ceremonies ever. Romantic, meaningful with lots of history that incorporated many different wedding customs. The reception was hosted at Asteria bar. Musicians escorted the guests to the venue where we have been working on the set up for the whole day. The result was stunning!

The decoration was based on greenery and white flowers with lots of candles. The set up was one long table for 120 guests. The bride with her elegant taste took extra care for the small details that make the difference; so the table lists were printed on Plexiglas, name tags were on the tables, printed serviettes, plexiglas table numbers, all with the couples’ logo and names. The dance floor was placed next to the sea. The bride and groom arrived in a inflatable boat while the guests were singing their song! Their cake was a piece of art!

The menu was based on sea food mainly, but also included meet options. Most dishes were prepared in front of the guests! During dinner we had the pleasure of listening the close family and friends speak about the couple and their families. What a close relation they all had with each other! A great party followed until the sun came out!
